Discerning the Voices of an Eating Disorder “ED”

Discerning the voices of an eating disorder or disordered eating can be tricky!  The voices can be intrusive, destructive and debilitating. How have you experienced this voice of the illness? Each person may have seasons where the voice is louder than others or even experience an unceasing, consistent, daily disruptive voice.  At the crux of it, the voice tries to derail you in your pursuit of eating disorder recovery.  Sometimes the voice also feels unpredictable…where you are going about your day and then bam!

If you are able to learn how to discern the voice of “ED” and come to truly understand what it may be trying to tell you, you can begin to find healing from the illness.  Understanding the truth and releasing the lies can help set you free! You are worthy of a full life.
